ST. CLOUD — One teenager was killed and another was injured in an incident Sunday morning, Feb. 2, in east St. Cloud, according to a news release from the St. Cloud Police Department.
According to the release, police responded to a report of gunshots fired at 2:55 a.m. Sunday morning in the 200 block of Second Street NE in St. Cloud.

When they arrived, officers found one male with gunshot wounds in the first-floor apartment hallway and another male with a gunshot wound in the stairwell between the first and second floors.
The male in the stairwell, identified only as a 17-year-old from St. Cloud, was declared dead at the scene.
The man in the hallway, only identified as a 19-year-old from St. Joseph, was taken to CentraCare — St. Cloud Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The police reported this was not a random incident. The suspects and victims knew each other before the incident. However, the suspects are not yet in custody, said Lori Ellering, a commander with St. Cloud Police.
The investigation is active and ongoing. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting.
