Nettie Walters

Nettie Jean Walters, 80, passed away suddenly Monday, January 27, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Jean was born May 21, 1944, to Charles and Verna Gerard. She was 9.5 minutes older than her twin Mary Joan. She married the love of her life, James Walters, on June 19,1970.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Glenn, her parents, two brothers (Don and Sonny) and brothers-in-law (Skip Bourman and Stan Thompson).
She is survived by her twin sister, Joan Bourman and sister Barbara Thompson, daughter Debbie (Ken) Goossen, sons Jeff (Lori) Hoyum, James (Becky Alm) Walters Jr., granddaughter Courtney (Giorgio) Gallo, four grandsons Joel (Brooke) Carlson, Joshua Hoyum, Christian Hoyum and Max Walters, great-grandson Sully Kile, honorary grand-daughters Carrie Kibler and Emily Geissler, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held:
Saturday February 8, 2025
Visitation at 2pm and a small service at 3pm
Reception and fellowship to immediately follow
