Bulldogs past and present taking part in Euro Women’s Hockey Tour this week
Two UMD alumni and four current Bulldogs are taking part in the Euro Women’s Hockey Tour Six Nations tournament this week in Tampere, Finland.
Freshman forward Caitlin Kraemer, sophomore goaltender Eve Gascon and junior defenseman Tova Henderson are playing for Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Development Team this week, along with Bulldog-turned-Ohio State goalie Hailey MacLeod.
Sophomore defenseman Ida Karlsson will team up with former Bulldogs goalie Emma Soderberg and defenseman Paula Bergstrom to play for Sweden at the Six Nations tournament.
Czechia is not using any PWHL players, so Katerina Mrazova will not be playing in the tournament. Switzerland is also without former Bulldog Lara Stalder, who has been battling an injury.
Canada and Sweden open Group B play on Wednesday while the United States Collegiate Women’s Select team takes on Finland in Group A. The tournament wraps up on Sunday.
