Theresa Bourke started working at the Dispatch in July 2018, covering Brainerd city government and area education, including Brainerd Public Schools and Central Lakes College.

Theresa grew up in Marathon, Wisconsin and moved to the Twin Cities for college, graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 2016 with degrees in journalism and Spanish. She was a student reporter and editor for TommieMedia while in college. After graduation she spent the first two years of her career as a reporter at the weekly PineandLakes Echo Journal in Pequot Lakes.
