The 94th session of the Minnesota House has begun , yet our representatives from Duluth are still absent . This means Duluth is left without a voice during a crucial time.
The new session has focused on tackling the rampant fraud that has plagued the state in recent years and adding much-needed transparency. In addition, bills have been introduced to direct any future budget surpluses — if they ever occur — back to the taxpayers and to limit the allocation of funds to individuals in the country illegally. It's encouraging to see a return to fiscal responsibility after years of prioritizing social engineering over practical governance.

But where is Duluth's representation in all this? How can our voices be heard if our elected officials won't show up to do the job they were chosen to do and are paid to do? It's time for them to either fulfill their duties or step aside so we can elect representatives who are serious about serving their constituents.
Our community deserves to have a say in these important decisions, and we should hold our leaders accountable for their absence.
