Showers and storms will not bring a washout rain any given day, but precipitation chances will be present each day through next week.

Saturday will be a mainly cloudy day across the Duluth region, with easterly winds at 10 to 15 mph. Some isolated to scattered showers will be possible during the day, with more showers likely Saturday night as well. Afternoon highs will only reach the upper 60s in Duluth and will be cooler along the North Shore and a bit warmer inland. Lows Saturday night will hit the upper 50s in Duluth.

On Father's Day, some lingering showers in the morning will give way to some drier time later in the day, though clouds will hold on. Highs will reach the mid-70s. Later Sunday, more rain and even some storm chances will return to the area, with some of those scattered storms perhaps on the stronger side late in the day. Some gusty winds and hail may be possible with any of the stronger storms.

Into the next workweek, the active pattern will hold, with scattered chances for showers and thunderstorms each day. A couple of those could be on the stronger side as well, but details remain fuzzy this far out. Otherwise, temperatures will be between the 60s and 70s next week.

Growing up in southern Wisconsin, my love of all things weather started at the age of 5, fascinated by storms rolling in during summer and blizzards blowing through in winter. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May 2023, having worked with the university's unique Innovative Weather operational forecasting program as well from 2021 through 2024. I moved to Fargo to start here at WDAY in May 2024.
