SUPERIOR — The second-most-decorated American male swimmer in Olympic history made at a stop in Superior on a snowy Sunday, Jan. 12.
Ryan Lochte and his father, Steven Lochte, were invited by coaches from the Superior YMCA Whalers swim club to work with swimmers at Superior High School. Almost 100 swimmers from the Twin Ports, the Iron Range and the Twin Cities received the opportunity to learn from the Olympian and his coach.

Younger swimmers began the day and 50 high school swimmers spent the afternoon with the Lochtes drilling on special techniques.

Ryan Lochte won 12 Olympic medals — six of which were gold — in his four Olympic games. He brought his gold medal from the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and let swimmers take photos with it.
