SUPERIOR — While the sun was still out on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 12, a mother and son from Hibbing made a pitstop in Superior. Autumn Clark and her son, Evan Walker, stopped at Harbor View Park to play for a while.
“He loves it here,” said Clark. “We’ll even go down to the beach (on Barker’s Island) to swim.”

The duo was enjoying the light breeze from the lake as they went up and down the slide as Walker ran across the equipment like a contestant on "American Ninja Warrior." They even got to see a gopher and her babies near the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center.
