DULUTH — With temperatures in single digits, more ice developed in the Duluth harbor and that gave the crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw a chance to show off its skills.

The heavy icebreaker, which is ported in Cheboygan, Michigan, arrived to Duluth-Superior Thursday. The cutter is about 240 feet in length and 58 feet in width and was built in 2005 in Marinette, Wisconsin.
