The parade has been an annual tradition in downtown Duluth since the 1950s.

DULUTH — It may not look like it on the ground outside quite yet, but Christmas is coming and the holiday spirit was on full display Friday night with the 66th edition of the Christmas City of the North Parade.

With calm conditions and temperatures in the mid-30s, spectators lined up to watch the parade, which started at 6:30 p.m. near the Fitger’s complex, and continued down Superior Street to Fourth Avenue West.

He was also the Development Director for the Duluth Salvation Army. Williamson grew up in Alexandria, graduated from St. Cloud State University and has lived in Duluth since 2012.
