Mary Murphy has worked as the Minnesota Capitol Correspondent for Forum News Service since October 2024.

Previously, Mary covered the Washington State Legislative session for the Washington State Journal. Mary has also reported internationally in Chennai, India for Citizen Matters. Her work has been published in the Seattle Times, Cascade PBS, The Everett Herald and The International Examiner.

She holds a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Washington where she also worked as Managing Editor for the college newspaper, The Daily.
